Reflective Statement - Journey On

I felt relaxed and had a good experience with the journey on relaxation exercise. Honestly when I began the exercise I thought to myself..."oh my goodness this is going to take 15 minutes!" After a few minutes in I truly felt my heart rate drop and my muscles begin to relax. It's so often that we get so caught up in our day/work that we forget to stop and breathe for a moment. It's amazing how much control our minds have over our bodies, and to take a second in the middle of a hectic day made me realize that incorporating meditation somehow into my schedule could benefit me very much.

Welcome classmates and friends to my blog spot! I have chosen to name my blog Rise Regardless because I believe in rising regardless where I am at in any situation. To tell you a little about myself....I am a veteran of the US Army, a national fitness competitor, a powerlifter, a wedding planner, personal trainer, and a single mother to the most amazing 3 1/2 year old little girl! I don't do all of these things at once, but I do try to incorporate each one in my life some way. I look forward to networking and communicating with all of you!
